Business Development Executive / Sales Executive – Rooftop Solar

Devkanti Urja Private Limited is a fast-growing solar EPC company focused on residential and commercial rooftop solar solutions. We aim to make clean energy accessible and affordable across Odisha.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Executive with a background in rooftop solar sales to generate and convert B2C leads. The role involves fieldwork, client interaction, and use of mobile apps for reporting. A two-wheeler is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate rooftop solar leads through door-to-door campaigns, community networking, and referrals.
  • Visit customers' homes/businesses to assess solar needs and explain product features, government subsidies (e.g., PM Surya Ghar Yojana), EMI options, and benefits.
  • Conduct basic site surveys or coordinate with technical teams for feasibility checks.
  • Close deals through follow-ups, relationship-building, and clear communication.
  • Use mobile applications to record leads, update follow-ups, and report daily activities.
  • Assist in documentation, subsidy support, and installation coordination.
  • Achieve monthly sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Prior experience in rooftop solar or renewable energy sales – strongly preferred
  • Must own a bike with valid driving license
  • Able to use basic smartphone applications: WhatsApp, camera, maps, data entry forms
  • Strong interpersonal skills with fluency in Odia; knowledge of Hindi/English is a plus
  • Comfortable with local field visits and customer interactions

Educational Qualification:

  • Minimum: 10+2 / ITI / Diploma
  • Preferred: Graduate in any discipline or diploma in electrical/renewable energy

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Digital Marketing Executive who can generate qualified online leads and convert them through effective cold calling. The ideal candidate must be confident, persuasive, and digitally savvy, with good command over Odia, and preferably Hindi and English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute lead generation campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads, etc.
  • Engage with potential customers via social media, WhatsApp, and the company website.
  • Perform follow-ups and close leads through cold calling and telephonic conversations.
  • Maintain a lead tracker and update status on a daily basis.
  • Explain solar product benefits, government subsidies, and financing options to interested customers.
  • Collaborate with the sales and installation teams for customer onboarding.
  • Prepare weekly reports on lead conversion and campaign performance.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and ad platforms.
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to speak fluently in Odia, and converse in Hindi and English.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Solar Installation Engineer to manage and execute on-site installation of rooftop solar systems. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of solar components and electrical systems, and must be willing to travel to different project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and execute rooftop solar system installations at customer sites.
  • Handle mounting structure fitting, solar panel placement, wiring, and inverter integration.
  • Ensure safety and quality standards during installation and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with project managers, electricians, and support staff for smooth execution.
  • Conduct post-installation testing, system checks, and troubleshoot issues if any.
  • Guide customers on system usage, basic maintenance, and safety.
  • Maintain installation reports, customer sign-offs, and service logs.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Electronics, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in rooftop solar installation (preferred).
  • Sound understanding of electrical wiring, PV system design, and inverter configuration.
  • Basic knowledge of solar structure mounting and DC/AC cabling.
  • Must be physically fit and comfortable working on rooftops.
  • Should be able to read basic drawings and use installation tools.
  • Strong communication in Odia, and working knowledge of Hindi or English.
  • Willingness to travel to different districts in Odisha for project execution.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of MNRE standards and DISCOM procedures.
  • Experience with on-grid / hybrid inverter installations.
  • Use of mobile apps for site reporting and photos.
